Journal Number 2

This week i made a couple of new purchases that i would call long term trades. My reasoning for this term is that i plan to keep these purchases for less than six months but i will still keep them for a decent chunk of time but sell them when they reach my expectations. My first one was 50 shares of Under Armour (UA) that i bought for $76.12 per share. so far my trade has yielded no profit, just a loss of $280.75. My reasoning for buying this stock even though it was at such a high price is because of hunting season and winter. Under Armour has a huge variety of quality hunting and cold weather gear and i expect people to begin buying their products more than usual. I expect this stock to reach between $81.50 and $83.00 by the time the semester is over.

My second ‘long term trade’ was 100 shares of Cabela’s (CAB) for $22.22 each. My reasons for buying this stock is very similar to my reasons for buying UA. Cabela’s is an outdoor clothing and equipment retailer that has a huge range of products from guns to ladies clothes. hunting season has already started but it still has yet to peak. Also winter weather is upon us and Cabela’s has everything needed to keep you warm. so far it has only brought me a loss of $81.00 but i am confident that it will reach at least $25.00 if not $30.00 because in March of this year, it was trading at about $31.00 per share.

  1. I really like how you tell why you bought your stocks and how you tell how much they were.

  2. You are very precise me' lad, good job. No really, you should feel way awesome, I completely understand why you purchased these stocks.

Your blog would probably benefit from some humor or some more descriptive reasoning you know? The populous will be more drawn to you if your blog is entertaining.

  4. I really liked how you said why you bought the stocks. However you didnt say anything about the 52 week information on the 2 stocks so that might be something to include in it.
